29th July 1999 .To
whom it may concern.
I have been an ocean beach fisherman (net hauling from the surf) for over
thirty years and currently fish the ocean beaches in Northern New South Wales
and Southern Queensland approximately 250 days a year.
As a crew leader, my vehicle is used for all the "dirty work", i.e. it is
often actually IN the surf and is regularly "hit' ( washed over) by
bigger waves. Additionally I carry brine tanks and salt and raw fish in the
back all the time.
My Toyota probably gets a worse hiding than any other vehicle, but to me
it is strictly a work horse. That's what it is for, and that is how I use
it.
My current vehicle is now more than two years old and in just as good condition
as when I fitted the ERPS unit when it was five months old. Prior to that
I had another brand of Electronic System fitted but it just didn't seem to
cope. Spray on chemicals have never helped much in my line of work.
When I approached the people at ERPS they explained that there was far more
to preventing rust than just screwing on a gadget or spraying chemicals all
over the vehicle.
I have had three upgraded ERPS systems fitted since November 1997 and each
seems better than the one before. I have been to the ERPS factory numerous
times and have seen how they keep working to improve the product. I reckon
the latest system is near perfect.I have been approached by the importers
of an American Electronic system who tried to tell me that ERPS doesn't work.
That's bloody rubbish! I know what I see and I know that in all the
years I've been fishing I have never seen anything that prevents rust and
general deterioration like the ERPS Electronic System. I have no idea how
it works and I couldn't care less - I just know it saves me a fortune in
maintenance - especially the brakes and for the first time ever I'm going
to get a decent trade in on the vehicle. Last time I tried to trade a two
year old vehicle I got hunted out of the dealers. Although the others in
my crew were very sceptical when I went for the ERPS system, they have now
fitted them to their vehicles except one. His 4WD is two years old and almost
worthless now.
I can only say this. ERPS systems work like magic. I reckon if
it can keep my vehicle in good condition, it would keep most others like
new.
I always try to buy Australian and ERPS is all Australian. Not only that,
but the ERPS systems are pretty cheap when you can see how much they can
save over a few years. The other thing is that you can tell they know what
they are talking about, and they explain why systems must be adapted for
certain conditions on different vehicles.

We started with
only one rust proofing unit on our work ute in 1988. We were so amazed with
the results that we decided to try it once again. This time we installed
a unit on one of our 8 tonne trucks, that was particularly bad with body
rust, that had been caused by the cartage of fertiliser. Once again the results
were outstanding.. Because maintenance has always been our top priority,
we have spent a considerable amount of money every year, just on sand blasting
and repainting each vehicle. The investment in these rust proofing units
will save us a great deal of money. We have now fitted all of our vehicles
, including, fertiliser boxes , tractors and all of our trucks. Because our
business involves handling fertiliser every day, we believe that we have
put the rust proofing units through an extremely tough test. However, long
term, this is going to be the best investment in vehicle maintenance that
we could make.

answered!!
First - Electronic Rust Prevention IS NOT NEW! ! Science
has known for more than 70 years that the appropriate electrical charge
introduced and maintained onto a metal structure will prevent or reduce
corrosion. The principle has been used with some success for years to slow
down corrosion in ships, bridges, underground pipelines, etc. Commonly known
as "Cathodic", it requires an "aqueous phase", i.e. water or moist soil etc.
to carry the electric current. The Cathodic systems have never been effective
on "free air structures" like motor vehicles, buildings, etc. because of
lack of "aqueous phase".
Second -
Of the six or so electronic systems available in Australia at least three
are Cathodic. Two others have lights which work but that's about all that
does work. One system draws so much power from the battery that it must be
switched off with the engine - rendering it ineffective.
E R P.S. IS NOT
CATHODIC but uses a method discovered in 1985 and known as Capacitive
Coupling. It is, in many ways, far more simple than the Cathodic system and
uses less energy (battery power) to far better effect. Capacitive Coupling
requires no moisture. For the technically minded, the E.R.P.S. system actually
charges the Coupler so as to be the positive side of a Capacitor, whilst
the structure (or vehicle) is the negative side, and the high concentrations
of electrons cause the whole surface to become covered by a layer of electrons
that are held static by the dialectic (usually the paint). The layer of electrons
prevents corrosion by lowering the metals voltage potential, which means
the metal becomes less reactive and therefore less likely to corrode. Unlike
cathodic protection, the capacitive coupling system is almost completely
static and therefore no significant currents are required to prevent corrosion.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
- Just because it is Electronic does not mean it is the same as E.R.P.S.
Corrosion/rust is a natural chemical reaction. Put simply, electrons escape
from unprotected metal, combine with atmospheric molecules and 'rust' begins.
The E.R.P.S. Unit constantly replaces these electrons preventing or limiting
corrosion.
E.R.P.S. prevents or slows paint oxidation, keeps paint shiny and helps retard
corrosion. E.R.P.S. works on all metal surfaces, including brakes, radiators
and exhaust systems, etc. E.R.P.S. when correctly applied, can stop or slow
the spread of existing rust, even if very advanced.
E.R.P.S. goes a long way towards preventing electrolysis caused by dissimilar
metals E.R.P.S. is proven to reduce maintenance costs, prevent rust, improve
trade-in values and prolong vehicle life.
E.R.P.S. uses very little power and being a negative charge, won't interfere
with car computers, radios, etc.
E.R.P.S. is transferable if you sell your existing car. It can be removed
and replaced on your new car.
E.R.P.S. an all Australian Co. manufacturing quality products, from Australian
made or sourced components.
E.R.P.S. guarantee everything we say and do - and we guarantee we know what
we are talking about.
E.R.P.S. in the rare case of product failure, replaces the unit immediately
- NO COST - NO ARGUMENT
E.R.P.S. advises you to ask questions about other systems. Is it Capacitive
Coupling? What is the price? How many couplers will be fitted? Where is it
made? What Warranty applies? Is the Warranty under-written? Is there Factory
back up? What happens if the Unit itself fails? How much power does it
draw?
E.R.P.S because of technical know how and fair trading practices, have been
made agents for other advanced anti-corrosion products by other Australian
Companies. We are not interested in just "fixing a gadget" to your car, taking
your money and forgetting you. We are happy to consult and suggest the correct
system or solution to your rust problem.
SUMMING UP
The newer the vehicle and/or the better the coating, the cheaper
and easier it is to protect with E.R.P.S. Don't be misled about the "benefits"
of smelly chemical spray-ons which offer only short term limited protection.
E.R.P.S. is much more effective and will not scratch, wear off or have to
be reapplied.
